Project Summary
When it was time to expand their veterinary clinic to a second location focusing on “after-hour” services, Veterinary Emergency Services wanted the new building to incorporate as many “green” technologies as possible without compromising employee safety. Beta LED gave them both.
Compared with other green initiatives incorporated into the building project, nothing provides as many on-going savings as the Beta LED parking lights. The energy savings are expected to reduce operating costs by approximately 40% when compared to traditional metal halide lighting.
In addition, the new Beta LEDs create a safer environment for the clinic’s mostly female staff. The new lights provide a “clean, bright look,” according to Chris Schriever, Hospital Administrator. “For some reason, it’s just easier to see under the LEDs, but it doesn't seem like you’re under a spotlight.”
Schriever explained that the light reaches all the corners of the parking lot, making it easier to see with light more evenly spread throughout.
